Day 5

Sunday 8/9/09

Today we were thinking that you might be a little bit jaundice and Grandma was telling us that putting you out in the sunlight would help. Daddy instantly said, “let’s do it” and he took you to get your diaper changed and then took you outside. It was so sweet. Your daddy loves you so much. While you were outside with daddy, Grandma and I looked up online to see if that treatment was “old school” or if there were other treatments. We found out that just keeping you in a sunny room will help and that it should go away in a few weeks. In the mean time you had cuddled down in daddy’s arms and looked so SWEET. Your Daddy is very caring…he does get a little nervous taking care of you sometimes but he is learning VERY quickly.

Also, my milk came in and you were LOVING every drop of it. It made you so happy to eat, and made me feel better because I now knew that you were getting enough nutrients and your next wet diaper had no more red in in…HOORAY!

Tonight Uncle Jon came over and was the first to hold you (besides me, daddy, and grandma). He took a picture and texted it to Aunt Tara and said “aren’t you jealous” because even though everyone was there when you were born…no one got to hold you before they went up to Ventura.
